Soldiers' bodies to
arrive today
ROHTAK:
The bodies of Lance Naik
Vijay Singh (31) of Sunderpur village and Naik Kishan Lal
of Titoli village who laid down their lives while
fighting against the Pakistan-backed intruders in Kargil,
will be brought here tomorrow morning.
With the supreme sacrifice
made by these two soldiers a total of six soldiers from
the district have lost their lives in the Kargil
conflict.
Lance Naik Vijay Singh of
17 Jat Regiment is survived by his widow, Satwanti, son,
Joginder Singh (4), father and mother.
Naik Kishan Lal is
survived by his widow, Rajmati, two sons aged 19 and 17,
a daughter and father and mother.
Naik Rampal Singh of 9
Mahar Regiment, another martyr was cremated with full
military honours at his native village of Sauddah in
Bahadurgarh subdivision of the Jhajjar district this
morning.
His body was received by
his father Raj Singh at about 7.30 a.m. when it was
brought from Delhi. He is survived by his parents, wife
and three children. The Minister of State for Ayurveda,
Ms Kanta Devi; Badli MLA Mr Dhir Pal; a former Deputy
Speaker of State Assembly Mr Manphool Singh; a former
MLA, Mr Mange Ram; the Deputy Commissioner, Mr Srikant
Walgadh; the SSP, Mr M.S. Mann and a large number of
local residents paid homage to the brave soldier.
