NURPUR:

The block Youth Congress performed a havan at Niazpur today to pay tributes to three martyrs, Lakhbir Singh, Bir Singh and Ashok Kumar of Nurpur and Jawali, who had laid down their lives while fighting Pakistani intruders in the Kargil sector. On the occasion families of the deceased were given cooking gas connections free of cost. A blood donation identification camp was also organised in which 100 youths got their names registered in blood donors’ list after verification of their blood groups.
